Waqt (“the app”) is a free, open-source Islamic companion app for prayer times, Qibla, adhkar, and du’a. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is used.
1. Data We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
All data stays on your device.
2. Device Permissions

| Location | To calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction for your location. Never stored or shared. |
| Notifications | To deliver prayer time alerts, check-in reminders, and adhkar reminders. |
| Camera | Used only for the Qibla AR (augmented reality) compass feature. |
| Storage (Android ≤ 9) | To read/write backup files you choose to save. |
3. Third-Party Services
Waqt does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting tools. No data is sent to any external server.
4. Children’s Privacy
Waqt does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app is safe for all ages.
5. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date.
